Metropolitan Republican Club, 122 East 83rd Street, between Park & Lexington Avenue. After the debate, Club members will be partaking in THE 1st NY STRAW POLL* of the GOP Presidential Primary Season. The straw poll does not constitute any official endorsement as the NYYRC does not endorse prior to a primary. All Campaigns have been invited and may bring literature. Food & Drink will be available... Come watch election returns, a YR Debate & Partake in THE 1st NY STRAW POLL* !!! Join the young, Jewish professionals of the YJLPAC on Tuesday, November 6th from 7pm - 10pm for an Election Day Party at Off The Wagon. There will be free draft beer and cocktails from 7pm - 8pm. The venerable institution of Off the Wagon is located at 109 MacDougal Street (Between Bleeker and 3rd) and the YJLPAC will be loitering in the main bar area. November 8, 2007, 7:30pm: The NYYRC (the independent one) will hold its monthly speaker series featuring Fred Siegel. Fred Siegel is a senior fellow of the Manhattan Institutes's Center for Civic Innovation, and is an expert on market-friendly public-policy solutions for urban governance. He has made his intellectual home at the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art in New York City for over twenty years. As a senior adviser to Rudolph Giuliani's 1993 mayoral campaign, he wrote one of Mr. Giuliani's path-breaking speeches on quality of life. He is author of The Prince of the City: Giuliani, New York and the Genius of American Life (Encounter Books 2005), which received a cover review in The New York Times Book Review.
