July 5, 2007, 6:30-9:00 pm: The Metropolitan Republican Club presents First Thursday, its informal monthly social event. $15 ($10 for members) includes all refreshments. 122 East 83rd Street, just west of Lexington.

July 5, 2007, 8:00pm: Junto is a group that shares information
and discusses current issues...plus presents speakers to talk with us: Old Threats and New Threats from the Left by Ronald Radosh, Adjunct Senior Fellow at the Hudson Institute. General Society Library, 20 West 44th Street, between 5th and 6th Avenues. Admission Free. No reservation necessary Please note: Junto is not the usual sort of meeting with a long speech followed by Q & A. Junto's invited speakers give a short presentation, and then are challenged to defend their assertions. Discussions are intense, but polite. Participation by attendees is highly encouraged.

--L.B. Deyo, Jinx Society and Dionysium co-founder, _Intergalactic Nemesis_ star, and prophet of the transformative cyborg future. Moderated by Michel Evanchik and hosted by Todd Seavey. At: Lolita Bar, 266 Broome St., at the corner of Allen St. on
Manhattan's Lower East Side, one block south and three west of the

July 11, 2007, 7:30pm: Brooklyn Young Republican Meeting. Guest Speaker: J.C. Polanco, Director of NYS Assembly Republican Leader James Tedisco's NYC regional office, will speak about the reform agenda of the Assembly Republicans. Come hear about these proposals and how Minority leader Tedisco is putting Shelly Silver and the Assembly Democrats as well as Governor Spitzer on the defensive in Albany. In honor of the life of Ronald Reagan (1911–2004), the Brooklyn YR Club will give away a copy of Memorial Tributes Delivered In Congress at our July Club meeting. This compilation includes the transcript of the funeral services as well as tributes offered on the floor of the House and Senate. All who attend our July meeting will be entered to win. July 12, 2007, 7:30pm: New York Young Republican Club (the independent one) Monthly Meeting will feature Pete Hegseth Executive Director of Vets for Freedom. First Lieutenant Pete Hegseth served in Iraq with the 3rd Brigade of the 101st Airborne Division for their deployment to Iraq from 2005-2006. Lt. Hegseth served as an infantry Platoon Leader in Baghdad during the nationwide elections in October and December 2005, and as a Civil-Military Operations officer in Samarra. Lt. Hegseth also served in Guantanamo Bay for a year on a security mission with his National Guard unit and currently serves in the 1-69 Infantry, New York Army National Guard. He holds the Bronze Star for his time in Iraq. Pete is a graduate of Princeton University and plans to pursue a Masters in Public Policy at the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton in the fall. Lt. Hegseth originally hails from Minnesota, but now lives in New York City with his wife. Soldiers', Sailors', Marines' & Airmen's Club, 283 Lexington Ave (bet 36th & 37th St), 2nd Floor. July 25, 2007, 6:30pm - 8:00pm: Republican Jewish Coalition BBQ in the Park. Relax and chat with other Jewish Republicans, while enjoying Glatt Kosher BBQ in Central Park! Ross Pinetum, Central Park, West side, near 86th Street. Members $20, non-members $30. Dietary laws observed. Please make checks payable to Republican Jewish Coalition. July 27, 2007, 8:00am - 9:00am*: RJC Breakfast with Senator John McCain (R-AZ). The Women's National Republican Club 3 West 51st Street (between 5th and 6th Avenues) *Current RJC Leaders receive a photo opportunity with Sen. McCain. Please arrive at 7:50am - must RSVP. Breakfast is open to all current RJC leaders and members. Kosher continental breakfast will be served. In no way does this event constitute an endorsement by the RJC, nor is it a political fundraiser. All GOP candidates for President are welcome to speak before the RJC should their schedules permit.

July 31, 2007, 7:30pm: Ron Paul Meetup- The Art of Political Persuasion - How to persuade people about Freedom. This is a meetup event for people who are interested in getting to know more about Ron Paul's ideas and how best to spread them. A bit public speaking, a bit intellectual probing, a bit marketing, and a bit debate. A bit learning about the great man that Ron Paul is over drinks. Find out the facts about the war, the economy (including education and health care), and why freedom works. I'm no expert, but with your help we can get this man nominated. At "Kevin St. James" at 8th Avenue between 46th/47th street Upstairs Room.
