July 6, 2006, 7:00pm: Junto focuses on libertarianism, Objectivism, and investing. This month's meeting will feature Ronald Radosh, the author of "Red Star Over Hollywood: The Film Colony's Long Romance with the Left", and "Commies: A Journey Through the Old Left, the New Left and the Leftover Left" tells how Marxists have influenced America. July 10, 2006, 12:00 noon: American Friends of Likud invites you to a RALLY TO SAVE GILAD SHALIT. The order to Hamas to kidnap IDF Cpl. Gilad Shalit came from Damascus. The order to Hamas to free him must come from there, too. Syrian President Bashar al-Assad plays a critical role in this hostage crisis, since Hamas leader Khalid Meshaal operates in Syria under his protection. Join the Ad Hoc Coalition for Justice in front of the Syrian Mission to the United Nations to send a message to Bashar al-Assad and Palestinian leaders. Demand the immediate and unconditional release of Cpl. Gilad Shalit, and an end to Syrian support for the terrorists of Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and Hezbollah. Call on the international community to act against those who harbor and support terrorist groups. Demand that the Palestinian Authority halt the ongoing firing of rockets and mortars into Israel. July 13, 2006, 7:30pm: The New York Young Republican Club (the independent one) Monthly Meeting at Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and Airmen's Club, 283 Lexington Ave (bet 36th & 37th St), 2nd Floor. We have two dynamic and informative speakers. John H. Fund, serves the Wall Street Journal editorial board, writing the weekly Political Diary. He is author of Stealing Elections: How Voter Fraud Threatens Our Democracy. Mr. Fund will be talking about how, nationally, Republicans can avoid the same fate as Democrats experienced in 1994. The Honorable Charles Millard, former member of the New York City Council from Manhattan's Upper East Side and is currently a columnist for the NY Post, and serves as Managing Director/President of Broadway Partners Direct Securities. During the Giulliani administration, Mr. Millard was President of the NY City Economic Development Corp. and Chairman of the NY City Industrial Development Agency. In those roles, he completed numerous highly visible real estate initiatives, including the redevelopment of 42nd Street and the sale of the United Nations Hotel. July 26, 2006, 7pm: The Metropolitan Republican Club invites you to see the New York production of "I'm So Indicted", the new musical review by the Capitol Steps, the famed Washington-based political theatrical troupe.
